Hair Loss Treatments New Research
While there are many hair loss treatments available, there is a large part of the population that still haven’t found the right solution for them. Though this may frustrate some people to the point of giving up, there is still hope. New research, studies and trials are being conducted all across the globe as scientists still search for the cure for hair loss.
In China, Kintor Pharmaceutical is in its third clinical trial phase for KX-826 (pyrilutamide) which is being developed to treat male androgenic alopecia. KX-826 is an androgen receptor topical drug that may be able to treat acne vulgaris as well.
In Italy, biotech company Cassiopea is developing a topical solution called Clascoterone. The treatment is an androgen receptor inhibitor and is in the late stages of development for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia.
In the United States, Pfizer recently announced positive results from their latest trials of oral drug ritlecitinib. In lab studies, ritlecitinib has been shown to block signaling molecules and immune cells believed to cause hair loss in people with alopecia areata.
